Zelda Multiverse

Picture representing most Zelda games.

The Zelda Multiverse is basically made up of three separate universes. At first there was one universe up until the events of Ocarina of Time at which point the universe split into three. Most of the current timeline is based around the one presented in the book Hyrule Historia. Please keep in mind that the Super Smash Bros. games are basically a kid playing with his toys so they are not a part of this Multiverse.

CanonEdit

For the sake of this document the level of canon for items will be:

G-Canon (Game Canon): Any of the major Zelda video games. These are the highest level of canon.

S-Canon (Spin-Off Canon): Items licensed or specifically made by Nintendo that they were directly involved in.

E-Canon (Extra Canon): Extra materials that Nintendo wasn't very involved or deviate significantly from canon.

Pre-SplitEdit

This era applies to all three eventual timelines.

At this point the universe is split in three. The Downfall, Child, and Adult universes.

Downfall TimelineEdit

These events assume that Link was defeated at the end of Ocarina of Time.

Child TimelineEdit

After defeating Ganon in Ocarina of Time Link travels back in time to his childhood. This is the universe that continues on from there.

Adult TimelineEdit

After defeating Ganon in Ocarina of Time Link travels back in time to his childhood. This is the universe he left behind where Ganon returned and Link was around to save it.

ReferenceEdit

These are official reference books that are not a part of the regular canon.
